Sighting of Mysterious Air Force on Display

It was pretty early in the morning, around 7 o'clock. While still lying on bed, I heard the distant whine coming in through the bedroom windows.

I thought it was the MRT. But then the whirling motors told me it couldn't be possibe from the noise of a MRT train passing by.

Opening my eyes all the infinitesimally a bit, I saw it. In a group of at least 10 helicopters, they were moving slowly toward the eastern sky. These were not the usual commercial choppers, but the military types with all the national logo and dark green camouflage.

Before I even knew it, I'd already jumped out of bed, grabbed the camera, and stormed out of the kitchen door into the all sunny garden.

There they were. Followed by the choppers, came the bombers, fighter jets, and what looked like airplanes for reconnaissance operations because they have got those dishes on top of their fuselages.

My guess is that those could be moving in from Kinman (金門) to Taipei, in preparation for the air show to be performed on the coming Double Ten Day, our national birthday.

When all the military aviation vehicles were gone out of sight, an Eva Air came through.
